I can’t run away from this pain it’s pulling me under
it’s consuming me (x2)
No I can’t give up a life spent to understand
The meaning of my existence
I’m good at nothing but I won’t let this hold me back
I’m pushing forward to become the man I dreamt to be
I have to do this for myself
I can’t give up
I have a whole life in front of me
I won’t give up
Follow your dream don’t let em tell you who you are
Show the whole world, show them what you’re made of
I lost myself inside my fears
I just don’t know where to go from here
And while I’m washing my sins away
I realize there’s a debt left to be paid
I can’t wait here to be saved
I can’t give up
And I know I can’t do this by myself
I won’t give up
When everything is gone
Life is the only thing that stays
When I’ll be done with this I’ll find my way
A masterful EP, The Oklahoma Kid is resoundingly beautiful and presents a work that is as meaningful as it is introspective. Fortuneteller encapsulates the very essence of the post-hardcore and metalcore genres, but effectively intertwines tech metal and crushing djent riffs into a very solid effort. The Oklahoma Kid is intelligent, passionately-moving, and intensely engaging; music of my golden years. :) Kenny McGalem
